The launch follows Elon Musk’s trend of exploring products beyond electric cars, such as Tesla Tequila in 2020 and Tesla CyberBeer last year.
Tesla Mezcal comes in a lightning-shaped glass bottle, designed by Javier Verdura, and is described as spicy, with notes of citrus, green apple, and a herbal touch.
Tesla Mezcal and Tequila share the agave plant as the main ingredient, but differ in taste, with Mezcal usually being smokier, offering an alcohol content of 43% and providing a floral, delicate, and spicy flavor, with hints of lime, green apple, and spices, followed by a finish with notes of tuberose, jasmine, and chamomile.
Available for purchase only in the United States, there is a limit of two bottles per order, and shipments will begin in three to six weeks.
