Tesla announced the launch of its new fourth-generation Supercharger cabinet, which promises to improve the charging speed of the Cybertruck by up to 30%, reaching up to 500 kW, while the 3, Y, S, and X models will maintain the current speeds of 250 kW.

This new system will be compatible with vehicles that have batteries between 400 and 1000 volts, allowing faster and more efficient charging, especially for the Tesla Semi, which can reach up to 1.2 megawatts.

The main improvement of the V4 is the reduction in complexity compared to the previous generation, allowing each cabinet to support up to eight charging stations simultaneously, double the capacity of previous models. This will enable Tesla to expand its network more quickly, making fast charging more accessible to a larger number of vehicles.

The first sites with the new hardware are already in the licensing process, and Tesla expects the new infrastructure to be available sometime next year, significantly improving the charging experience and addressing one of the biggest limitations of current chargers.
