Tesla began delivering its first units of the Cybertruck just over a year ago, and since then, the vehicle has sparked significant debate online.

Revealed as a concept in 2019 by Elon Musk, the electric pickup truck divided opinions, with criticisms regarding its design and high maintenance costs. Some fans, however, took the initiative to build homemade versions of the model or even attempted to import it to the UK, despite it not yet being legal to drive there.

At a “Cars & Coffee” event before the official launch, Tesla’s chief designer Franz von Holzhausen brought his own Cybertruck to showcase. Car enthusiast @dsgolson captured detailed footage of the model and shared it online, revealing some visible flaws, such as gaps in the car panels, which gave the impression of an unfinished vehicle. Although the car was not the final production model, many questioned the build quality on social media.

While some people criticized the imperfections, others felt they demonstrated that the Cybertruck was not mass-produced, which, for them, was a positive aspect, indicating that the vehicle could be a luxury handmade product.

The reaction was divided, with design supporters praising the vehicle’s appearance, while critics questioned the lack of attention to detail.
