Internet users took to social media to report that their Cybertrucks are on “hold” at Tesla due to several cases of trim pieces coming off the trucks.

On the Cybertruck Owners Club forum, eight people reported that they are waiting for their Cybertrucks and have been contacted by Tesla, who stated that the trucks are on “hold.”

A hold typically occurs when a manufacturer finds something wrong with newly produced vehicles and wants to withhold deliveries in order to fix the issue. This way, they can avoid a recall for vehicles that are already in customers’ hands.

One buyer shared an image from Tesla’s service app, where a representative stated that the issue was due to the “cantrail adjustment” on the Cybertruck. The cantrail is a decorative trim that covers the edge of a vehicle’s roof.

Despite being marketed as a “bulletproof” vehicle, the Cybertruck is facing some trim issues. This is because most of these trims are simply glued to the vehicle’s exterior parts.

Back in June of last year, Tesla had already issued a recall for over 11,000 Cybertrucks due to trim pieces detaching and “flying” off while drivers were on the road.
