Technamm presented the Masstech DC4, its new off-road vehicle, during the SOFINS 2025 fair, proposing it as a replacement for the old P4s used by the French army.

The model is based on the chassis of the Toyota Land Cruiser Series 79 and brings improvements over the Masstech T4, such as a four-door cabin and an open rear platform for transporting various loads. The standard version is not armored and uses a 6-cylinder 1HZ diesel engine with a 4.2-liter capacity, producing 130 horsepower.

Previously, the company had supplied 500 units of the Masstech T4, which is built on the Land Cruiser HZJ 76. Although it was used in several military operations, the T4 did not fully meet the needs of the French army, which led to the evolution of the project.

The new DC4 maintains the focus on simplicity and practicality, aimed at tactical missions and operations that do not require armored protection.

The prototype presented at SOFINS is the first of its model, and initial tests are scheduled to begin after the event. Technamm aims for the DC4 to replace the current unprotected command and control vehicles used by the French Armed Forces.

In 2024, the company also unveiled the Fennec 2, another off-road military vehicle, during the Eurosatory fair in Paris.
