The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China (Taiwan) has confirmed the delivery of the first batch of Altius 600M drones purchased from the United States.

According to the Ministry, the American-made multifunctional drones, produced by defense company Anduril Industries, arrived on August 4.
Chiu Kuo-cheng, Minister of National Defense, emphasized that the successful acquisition of the Altius 600M drones reflects the military’s determination to adapt to the evolving conditions of the battlefield and accelerate the adoption of innovative technologies.
“It is also highly significant that Taiwan and the United States are working together to leverage cutting-edge technologies to counter the threat posed by the Chinese Communist Party and safeguard regional peace and stability,” said the minister.
According to the website Militarnyi, Taiwan acquired these American drones in June of last year. The estimated cost for the purchase of 291 units is approximately US$ 300 million.
In addition to the multifunctional drones, the purchase also included auxiliary equipment, training UAVs, logistics services, and engineering support.
