Mumbai, India / Turin, Italy – Tata Motors announced on Thursday (August 1st) the acquisition of Italian commercial vehicle manufacturer Iveco Group for €3.8 billion (US$4.4 billion), in a deal considered the Indian automaker’s most ambitious move since purchasing Jaguar Land Rover in 2008.
