Suzuki has presented its first fully electric production car, the e-Vitara, based on the eVX concept, a small and robust SUV.

With an aggressive design, the e-Vitara stands out for its typical SUV appearance, with robust trim and a strong expression. Inside, the car features two screens for the driver’s instruments and infotainment system, as well as a clean layout with physical controls.

The e-Vitara is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, which is more economical and less reliant on rare earth materials than other battery technologies, and uses the ‘HEARTECT’ electric platform, also used in other models of the brand.

For Europe, the model will be available in three versions: one with a 49 kWh battery and a 142 hp engine, and two options with a larger 61 kWh battery, one with 172 hp and front-wheel drive, and another with 236 hp and all-wheel drive.

Suzuki plans to expand its electric vehicle lineup, with the company’s president, Toshihiro Suzuki, highlighting that various options, including BEV, hybrid, and CNG models, will be offered for different regions.

The e-Vitara is set to launch in the summer of 2025, marking an important step for the brand in electrifying its fleet.
