Skoda has unveiled the Elroq, its smallest electric SUV, positioned below the Enyaq and considered the electric equivalent of the Karoq.
The model adopts the new ‘Modern Solid’ design language, showcasing a cleaner and more modern look without the traditional front grille, and incorporating technologies like hidden cameras and radars.
Focusing on interior space and competitive pricing, the Elroq directly targets the accessible electric SUV market, such as the Kia Niro EV, with a starting price of approximately $41,700.
The interior of the Elroq offers generous space, with a trunk capacity of up to 1580 liters and new practical features like additional storage compartments. The model also includes a 13-inch screen and software improvements to optimize the user experience.
Available in various versions, the Elroq offers different battery options, with a range varying from 370 to 580 kilometers, depending on the model, and fast charging from 10% to 80% in just 25 minutes.
In addition to the Elroq, Skoda plans to expand its electric vehicle lineup with new releases in the coming years. The Epiq, an urban crossover, will be launched after the Elroq, followed by updates to the Enyaq and new models, including an electric estate and a large SUV, all expected by 2026.
