An armored vehicle Cobra-LAMV, manufactured by the Emirati company Streit Group, was spotted in use by the Russian National Guard special forces.

According to the Ukrainian portal Militarnyi, the topic was brought up by Andrii Kharuk, a military historian and Doctor of Historical Sciences.

The vehicle, allegedly belonging to the Bulat Rapid Response Special Unit of the Russian National Guard, was photographed in the Moscow region, and the images were shared on one of the Russian propaganda channels on Telegram.

The Cobra-LAMV armored vehicle uses a Toyota Land Cruiser 200 chassis and comes in two body configurations: a three-door and a five-door version. However, as Kharuk noted, “the photo was taken at an angle that makes it uncertain which version it is.”

According to him, it is a typical police armored vehicle for “light roads,” with limited off-road capabilities in addition to paved surfaces. The Cobra-LAMV weighs 5.7 tons and can carry 6 to 7 people, including the driver.

Previously, Spartan-SUT armored vehicles, also manufactured by Streit Group, were seen in units of the Russian National Guard. It is still unknown how this equipment ended up in Russia.
