The corvette “Soobrazitelny“, of the Russian Navy, conducted a series of combat training missions in the Baltic Sea, according to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
During the scheduled deployment to sea, the crew carried out search, detection, and destruction operations against a simulated enemy submarine using anti-submarine weapon systems. The underwater target was initially detected using the ship’s sonar station, classified, and tracked. It was then conditionally neutralized using torpedo weapons.

As part of the defense-focused drills, the crew also practiced air defense measures during maritime transit, using electronic and visual camouflage. A Su-30 multirole fighter acted as a simulated aerial target, and upon entering the engagement zone, it was virtually eliminated by the ship’s air defense systems.
Additionally, the corvette “Soobrazitelny” conducted exercises involving electronic warfare interference, onboard survivability while underway, navigation through narrow straits, and a series of anti-submarine and anti-sabotage maneuvers—ensuring the crew’s operational readiness for various combat scenarios.
