According to the ministry, soldiers from the combined forces of the Eastern Military District of Russia and the Mongolian Armed Forces carried out operations to determine advance routes, adapting to the training ground’s terrain. Additionally, issues related to communication organization and interaction between the forces were resolved.
The joint exercise command established standardized control signals for both sides. Motorized infantry units practiced a joint offensive, deploying on the battle line, following the set speed for the movement of combat vehicles.
“For the first time, FPV drones were used in Russian-Mongolian exercises. Almost all types of troops are involved in these exercises, and military personnel on both sides act in a coordinated and organized manner,” said Adam Matsiev, Chief of Staff of the tactical group.
The exercise also included tactical flight missions for helicopter crews from the Eastern Military District Army Aviation and the Mongolian Air Force. Additionally, for the first time, special forces conducted an airborne landing with Mi-8 AMTSH helicopters.
This year, the inter-service exercise involves, for the first time, units from the Ground Forces, Aerospace Forces, and special forces of the Russian and Mongolian Armed Forces, totaling about 700 soldiers and approximately 200 units of military equipment. The Aerospace Forces include fighter, attack, and army aviation.
