Russian corporation Uralvagonzavod has delivered a new batch of T-90M, T-80BVM and T-72B3M tanks to the Russian Armed Forces.

According to the company, the armored vehicles received additional protective structures, although the exact number of vehicles delivered was not disclosed.

All three models are heavily modernized versions of Soviet-era platforms and use 125 mm smoothbore guns, but they differ in the arrangement of reactive armor and onboard systems.

In Russia, the T-90M is considered the most modern and expensive version derived from the T-72/T-90 family. The vehicle underwent a major upgrade, including a new welded turret and a combat module with a remotely operated machine gun mounted on top of the turret.

Despite the improvements, all of these models have already suffered losses during the war between Russia and Ukraine. The first T-90M destroyed in combat was recorded in 2022, while Ukrainian forces also managed to capture an intact T-90M Proryv in the Kharkiv region.
