The Russian Armed Forces have received a new batch of multifunctional Su-35S fighter jets, reinforcing the country’s combat aircraft fleet.
Manufactured by the state-owned company Rostec, the jets are of the 4++ generation and were designed to ensure air superiority in various conflict scenarios.
According to the manufacturer, the Su-35S features high maneuverability, modern electronic systems, and state-of-the-art weaponry, making them versatile for a wide range of missions. They can perform both escort and protection tasks for aircraft and strategic structures, as well as offensive operations against airborne and ground targets.
Developed to operate in adverse weather conditions and over long distances, the Su-35 is considered an intermediate link between current fighters and fifth-generation models.
Russia sees the aircraft as a key element to maintaining its combat capability in the air.
