Russia has begun receiving the first international orders for its Sukhoi Su-57 fighter jet, revealed the head of Rostec, the state-owned defense conglomerate.

Speaking to the press during the Dubai Airshow, Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec, stated that the Russian state company has started receiving the first international orders for its jets, especially for the Su-57.

“I will not confirm any contract numbers nor any of our partners. I can say with certainty that we have very high demand for this particular aircraft in several countries, and we expect that demand to increase even further,” Chemezov said through a translator.

The head of Rostec then indicated that Russia’s operations during the war against Ukraine are providing valuable lessons to further improve its combat and defense equipment.

“The modernization of the fighter is an ongoing process that continues as we carry out our special military operations, receive feedback from our pilots in the war zone, and adjust and refine our equipment accordingly,” Chemezov stated.

“And that is why you can see the high demand from our foreign clients, because they understand and know that our equipment is continuously updated based on the experience we gain in a real combat environment.”
