Russia has intensified the production and use of Kvazimachta fiber optic drones, which stand out for their resistance to interference, according to the newspaper The National Interest.

Unlike other models with limited autonomy, these reconnaissance drones can operate for up to 500 continuous hours, offering a significant advantage on the battlefield.

The difference lies in the communication system: instead of radio, the Kvazimachta uses fiber optic connected to the ground, ensuring high data transmission speeds and immunity to jamming attempts. This technology enhances the security of operations and increases the reliability of the equipment in electronic warfare scenarios.

Introduced in 2023 by the Kalashnikov consortium, the system has already been tested in combat areas in Ukraine. The drone is a large quadcopter, powered by electricity through the connection cable.

Operating at altitudes up to 100 meters, it performs surveillance in both optical and infrared bands, enhancing the reconnaissance capacity of Russian troops under various visibility conditions.
