Russian soldiers were seen using pickup trucks adapted with machine guns to try to shoot down drones during recent attacks on Moscow.

A photo released by RBC-Ukraine shows soldiers positioned in a vehicle resembling the Sollers/JAC ST6 pickup truck, manufactured in Vladivostok. The improvised equipment stands out due to the lack of sights and resources for nighttime operations, such as searchlights.

The Russian government claimed to have neutralized 193 Ukrainian drones, 43 of which were directed at the capital. Residents reported explosions in the area, possibly related to the destruction of the devices or the impact of successful strikes.

In response to the increasing aerial threats, Russia has intensified the defense of Moscow in recent months. At least 21 new air defense positions have been installed within a 50-kilometer radius of the city, mainly to the south, with a focus on the use of S-300, S-400 systems, and elevated platforms for Pantsir batteries.
