Kurganmashzavod, part of Rostec’s High-Precision Systems holding, has delivered the first TM-140 all-terrain vehicle of the year for mineral exploration operations in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
The information was released by Rostec on February 25.
The equipment will operate in typical regional conditions, including compacted snow, permafrost, and mountainous terrain. Yakutia is known for its extremely low temperatures and limited infrastructure in remote areas, factors that require specialized logistical solutions.

The vehicle was acquired by a geological exploration company based in Khabarovsk and belonging to the OGK Group holding. Its primary role will be cargo transport and support for geological teams involved in mineral resource prospecting.

According to the manufacturer, the TM-140 underwent multi-level testing prior to delivery. The supplied unit is equipped with a passenger module, an additional fuel tank, and a winch for operations in hard-to-access terrain.
The vehicle’s cab accommodates up to seven people. The passenger module can house a service team of up to eight members.
Payload capacity reaches up to four tons. Operational range is 550 kilometers, extendable to 870 kilometers with the installation of additional fuel tanks.

All-terrain vehicles produced by Kurganmashzavod are used in the oil, gas, and mining sectors, as well as in search and rescue operations conducted by Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations in northern regions of the country, including the Republic of Komi, Arkhangelsk Region, Murmansk Region, Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, and Krasnoyarsk Krai.
