The highlight of the event was the presentation of the S-76 drone, a vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, which has already successfully completed its first flight tests.

Developed by the renowned Sukhoi Design Bureau, this innovative project is part of the Vector program and was driven by the Rostec Accelerator. The S-76 drone can carry loads of up to 300 kg over distances of up to 500 km, without the need for specific airport infrastructure, making it ideal for remote and hard-to-reach areas.

Vladimir Artyakov, Deputy General Director of Rostec, highlighted the importance of this technology: “This unmanned platform promises to transform logistics by providing a fast, efficient, and autonomous means of transportation.”

The S-76 drone is intended for both the public and private sectors, capable of performing complex logistics and research tasks across various regions of Russia, including the most inaccessible areas. “The S-76 combines the best of a multicopter and an airplane, offering innovative and effective technical solutions to the country’s critical challenges,” said Yuri Slyusar, head of UAC.

This pioneering project positions Russia at the forefront of automated air transport, promising a significant reduction in costs and the need for human intervention. The current development phase focuses on testing essential technologies that could soon completely transform the country’s logistics landscape.
