Renault is about to launch the Mobilize Duo and Bento vehicles, expected to arrive in the UK in the spring of 2025.
The Duo is a compact two-seater vehicle, a competitor to the Citroën Ami, measuring just 2.43 meters in length and 1.30 meters in width, allowing three units to be parked in a standard parking space.
This model has already been showcased at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, featuring a design similar to the concept presented in 2022.
With a 48V motor and a 10.3 kWh battery, the Duo offers a range of up to 161 km and a top speed of 80 km/h. Charging is quick, reaching 80% in about 3 hours and 25 minutes, and is done via a fixed cable that can be connected to a household outlet.
The Duo’s interior offers more comfort and safety features compared to the Renault Twizy, including air conditioning, heated seats, and Bluetooth connectivity.
The Mobilize Bento, the van version, shares the same platform as the Duo but features an adapted body with a 649-liter cargo box, three times larger than a Volkswagen Up!’s and 440 liters more than a Citroën Ami Cargo.
Renault plans to offer a variety of accessories for the cargo area, but the Bento has a maximum weight limit of 80 kg. Prices are expected to be close to those announced in France, with financing options available.
