Renault has opened reservations for the 5 Turbo 3E, an exclusive high-performance model inspired by the classic R5 Turbo.

Only 1,980 units will be produced, and interested parties can already schedule their reservation. However, deliveries are not expected until 2027, after an extensive customization process that will begin next year.

The car is regarded as a “mini supercar” by the brand, thanks to its modern retro look, advanced technologies, and high performance.

With a carbon fiber structure and a variety of customization options, the 5 Turbo 3E is designed to provide exclusivity worthy of a supercar. It features two electric motors embedded in the rear wheels, generating a total of 533 hp and offering impressive torque, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3.5 seconds.

The 70 kWh battery allows for rapid charging with an 800-volt architecture and offers a range of up to 400 km. The model will also feature specific drift capabilities, including a vertical handbrake inside.

Initially introduced as a concept car in 2024, the Turbo 3E will indeed be produced, with design and engineering developed with the support of Alpine. Renault promises a personalized experience, even offering the option to choose the unit number. Although the final price has not been disclosed, it is estimated to cost over $179,900, reinforcing its status as a niche, highly collectible model.
