The Porsche 911 Cabriolet once owned by Brazilian Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna has been put up for auction, and bids have already surpassed $400,000.

The vehicle, which is in excellent condition, was used by the three-time F1 world champion during his stays at his home in Algarve, Portugal.

When Senna wasn’t in Portugal, the luxury car was looked after by his former manager Antônio Carlos de Almeida Braga, better known as Braguinha, a close friend of the driver.

After Senna’s death in 1994, Braguinha kept the car and made a few modifications to make it resemble the turbo version of the Porsche 911.

In 2024, the car underwent additional changes, including the installation of new fenders, side skirts, hood, and bumpers according to the original specifications.

The modifications were carried out by the Portuguese company Love My Car, which left one detail untouched: a signature left by Senna on one of the seats.

In the auction, which ends on July 31, the car initially received bids starting at $7,600. In less than a week, the price had surpassed $117,000 and is now around $488,000.
