The first class is being trained under the national instruction system, using the infrastructure of the 23rd Tactical Air Base. The program includes the use of simulators available at the base, followed by practical flights with the aircraft.
The new training model was developed internally, based on previously acquired experience. Meanwhile, a second group of Polish pilots who were sent to South Korea six months ago recently completed their first solo flights with the FA-50, now on Polish soil.
In addition to pilot preparation, two teams of Polish technicians and aeronautical engineers are in South Korea to inspect Sidewinder air-to-air missiles. The weapons will be supplied to the Polish Air Force through a lease agreement.
