Pickup truck driver jumps over buggy on dune in Brazil, sparks outrage (X @portal_bhaz)
A serious incident in Ceará, in northeastern Brazil, went viral on social media after videos showed a pickup truck “flying” over a dune and passing above a buggy.

The State Secretary of Tourism, Eduardo Bismarck, also condemned the act, stating that romanticizing the event is disrespectful to tourism professionals and that the driver should be severely punished. The Civil Police launched a procedure for an environmental crime and are continuing to investigate the incident.
The vehicle was seized and is now in the custody of the authorities. The local government emphasized that only accredited buggy drivers are allowed to drive on the dunes and promised to strengthen enforcement and educational campaigns.
Local residents also expressed their concerns on social media, calling for stricter control over irregular vehicle traffic on the beaches, especially during peak periods such as weekends and holidays.
