At the end of November, the auction house Bonhams Cars will offer a series of iconic cars and other collectible items from film history for sale.

The items come from the Central Museum of Movie Cars in Paris, operated by Franck Galiègue. “This museum was an incredible adventure, but it’s time to move on to new automotive projects,” he explained.

The collection includes vehicles from classics such as Fast & Furious, Taxi, Jurassic Park, Drive, Men in Black, Back to the Future, Robocop, Ghostbusters, and The Dukes of Hazzard. “Many of these vehicles are authentic witnesses to the history of cinema and motorsport,” said Loïc Maschi, a Bonhams specialist.

One of the highlights is the original Peugeot 406 V6 from the movie Taxi 2 (1999), which will be on display from November 7 to 9 at the Salon Époqu’Auto in Lyon, France. The car is considered one of the most iconic vehicles in French cinema and is valued between USD 75,000 and USD 130,000.

Other highlights include the 1968 Dodge Charger The General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard (estimated between USD 139,000 and USD 185,000) and the 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 from John Wick (estimated between USD 98,000 and USD 162,000).

The auction also features the police car by Gene Winfield from Back to the Future II (estimated between USD 81,000 and USD 115,000), a Cagiva 600 Canyon motorcycle from Jurassic Park: The Lost World (estimated between USD 20,000 and USD 23,000), and the 1987 Ford LTD Crown Victoria from Men in Black (estimated between USD 20,000 and USD 39,000).

Replicas of famous movie cars, such as the BMW Z3 and 750i from the James Bond series, the GMC Vandura from The A-Team, and the Volkswagen Beetle Herbie, are also included in the auction.

Other collectible items available for sale include a life-size T. Rex from the movie Jurassic Park (estimated between USD 40,000 and USD 69,000) and the Pitbull hoverboard from Back to the Future II (estimated between USD 1,735 and USD 2,550).

“I’ve spent many years collecting these cars. Now it’s time to pass them on to new owners,” added Galiègue. The full collection will be on public display by appointment from November 21 to 28, while the sale will take place online through Bonhams during the same period.
