Oshkosh Defense showcased, during Modern Day Marine 2026, two solutions that reflect the strategic transformation of the U.S. Marine Corps: an autonomous anti-ship attack system and a modernized logistics truck.

The platforms reinforce a focus on dispersed and adaptable operations, especially in contested maritime environments.

The main highlight is the ROGUE-Fires, an unmanned ground vehicle equipped with long-range missiles capable of striking enemy vessels from the shore. Remotely operated and based on the JLTV, the system enables rapid attacks and agile repositioning, reducing soldiers’ exposure in high-risk zones and increasing survivability on the battlefield.

This type of capability aligns with the Force Design 2030 concept, which prioritizes smaller units operating across islands and coastal regions. The idea is to use precision weapons to limit adversary naval advances, creating a mobile defense network that combines range, mobility, and low detectability.

The updated MTVR 4×4, in turn, strengthens the other side of the equation: logistics. With the ability to provide power and operate in low-visibility conditions, the vehicle increases troop autonomy in the field. The combination of strike power and sustainment shows that, for the Marines, winning modern conflicts depends as much on firepower as on the ability to sustain operations in extreme environments.
