Oshkosh Defense showcased, during the AUSA 2025 expo, a new generation of autonomous combat vehicles called FMAV (Family of Multi-mission Autonomous Vehicles).
The lineup includes platforms capable of launching Tomahawk missiles, GMLRS, PrSM, and Switchblade 600 munitions, combining firepower with high mobility and independent operation.
The X-MAV, the highlight of the exhibit, was displayed with four Tomahawk missiles and offers the same attack power as the Typhon system but with superior performance on rough terrain. The M-MAV, based on the FMTV A2 truck, functions as an autonomous multiple launcher, capable of firing various tactical missiles and medium-range rockets. The smallest in the series, the L-MAV, is intended for tactical missions and drone defense, equipped with Switchblade 600 drones and the BlueHalo Titan C-UAS air defense system.
According to Oshkosh, all three vehicles can operate alone or together, forming a mobile fire support network with minimal personnel requirements. The company states that the FMAV family was developed to serve as a foundation for future long-range strike systems, combining autonomy, flexibility, and advanced offensive capability.
