The new Citroën C3 Aircross enters its second generation as the cheapest electric SUV on the market, with a starting price of $28,500.
Based on Stellantis’ “Smart Car” platform, shared with the Fiat Grande Panda and the Vauxhall Frontera, it also offers gasoline and mild-hybrid versions, with prices starting at $25,000.
Available in Plus and Max trims, the model features items such as alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rearview camera, and climate control. The Max version adds a black roof, LED taillights, blind-spot monitoring, and heated seats.
With a design inspired by the Citroën Oli concept, the C3 Aircross stands out with its minimalist approach and new lighting signature. It shares several technologies with the Vauxhall Frontera, including a head-up display that reflects dashboard information on a covering at the top of the dashboard.
Additionally, there’s an option for a third seat at an additional cost of $948, making it more versatile for families. The first units will begin deliveries at the end of summer.
The electric e-C3 Aircross features a 111 hp motor and a 44 kWh battery, offering a range of around 302 km and fast charging from 20% to 80% in less than 30 minutes. The combustion versions include a 1.2 turbo engine with 99 hp and a 48V mild-hybrid system with a six-speed automatic transmission.
For 2025, Citroën plans to launch a long-range electric version with a range of around 402 km.
