The model will share the hybrid powertrain from the Continental GT, which includes a 771-horsepower, 738 lb-ft torque V-8 biturbo engine paired with an electric motor. This system will allow the Flying Spur to operate silently at speeds of up to 45 miles (72 km) on a full charge. Official range estimates have not yet been released.

The design of the new Flying Spur features few changes from the previous model, maintaining the round headlights and a lower bumper similar to that of the Continental GT. Bentley has not provided many additional details about the powertrain, other than confirming it is the most powerful ever used in its sedans.

The Flying Spur is expected to be significantly more powerful and possibly faster than the current W-12, which already reaches around 207 mph (333 km/h).
