Audi unveiled the new generation of the A6 Avant, its executive wagon, which arrives before the sedan version, primarily targeting the European market.

The model maintains the brand’s recent visual identity, with an aerodynamic design and distinct details compared to the A6 e-Tron, such as the new light signature and headlights with exposed metallic elements.

The interior of the model follows the standard of other Audi launches, featuring refined materials, an expansive digital dashboard, and an Android-based multimedia system.

While passenger space is generous, the trunk has a smaller capacity than rivals BMW 5 Series Touring and Mercedes E-Class Estate.

At the UK launch, the A6 Avant will be offered with only 2.0 four-cylinder engines, both gasoline and diesel, with 201 hp. The gasoline model will have front-wheel drive, while the diesel version will have quattro all-wheel drive and mild-hybrid technology, allowing periods of driving with the engine off. A plug-in hybrid version will be added later, as well as sportier S6 and RS6 variants that will feature a V6 twin-turbo engine with electric assistance. The suspension can be selected from standard, sporty, or pneumatic, with the latter being optional.

Sales of the A6 Avant will begin in the UK on April 1, with prices starting at $66,300 for the base gasoline version and $73,100 for the diesel. High-end models, such as the Edition 1, exceed $77,200.
