KNDS France, the French branch of the Franco-German group KNDS, has announced the development of a complete line of Loitering Munition Systems (LMS), the result of a strategic partnership with companies DELAIR and EOS TECHNOLOGIE.
The family, named MATARIS, includes four distinct models designed for short- and medium-range missions, focusing on precision, lethality, and tactical mobility.

According to an official statement from the company (KNDS), one of the munitions in the line, the MV-25 OSKAR model, is already in use on the frontlines in Ukraine, where it has received “excellent evaluations from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.”
Although production is the responsibility of KNDS France, the development of the MV-25 is attributed to the French company DELAIR. With a range of up to 25 km and equipped with a 2.3 kg warhead, the munition is remotely operated and designed for high-impact precision missions.
The full MATARIS range consists of four solutions:
- MT-10: rotary model with a range of up to 10 km;
- MX-10 DAMOCLES: short-range quadcopter (10 km);
- MV-25 OSKAR: fixed-wing model with a range of 25 km, in use in Ukraine;
- MV-100 VELOCE 330: long-range fixed-wing munition (100 km).
According to information released by French authorities, France supplied 100 units of the MV-25 OSKAR model to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in early 2024, reinforcing military support to the country while simultaneously promoting the operational validation of French technology.
Developed in record time, the MATARIS systems aim to meet the demands of the modern battlefield, combining agility, modularity, and lethal capabilities. A second model in the line is currently in the preparation phase for integration into the French armed forces.
