Bryan J. Parker, 58, was arrested after breaking into Daytona Beach International Airport on Wednesday (25). He admitted to being “highly intoxicated” when he drove his Ford Mustang through the locked gate.

According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, the man tried to enter one of the parked airplanes. Fox35 reported that he attempted to board at least two aircraft.

Police body camera footage shows airport authorities and officers restraining Parker on the ground at the scene.

“I don’t remember. I was at home. I went to an AA meeting and suddenly I’m using cocaine, drinking, and smoking marijuana,” he says in the video.

“So you were using all kinds of drugs and drove through a gate?” an officer asks. “Yes, and I crashed my car,” the Mustang owner replied.

The confused driver asked “what happened?” moments after being handcuffed. “What is my car doing there?” he muttered as police placed him in the back seat of a patrol car.

Authorities said no one was injured.

Parker was charged with attempted aircraft piracy, trespassing, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, driving under the influence with property damage, and refusal to submit to testing.

The airport praised the efforts of everyone who reported and alerted authorities about the Mustang breach.

“Passenger safety is always the top priority at Daytona Beach International Airport,” the statement said.
