The team at Grind Hard Plumbing Co turned their insane “monster chopper” into a snow bike, taking customization to the next level.
The original project, created in 2024, was already impressive, starting with a KTM 1190 engine, huge off-road tires, and a reinforced metal frame. One of the biggest challenges was the weight of the front wheel, which alone weighed around 82 kg. However, with skill and creativity, they built a unique and functional machine.
With the arrival of winter in Idaho, where the creators live, the idea arose to test the bike on snowy terrain. To do so, they swapped the front wheel for a ski, making the “monster chopper” lighter and better suited to the snow.
The performance was surprisingly good, especially after adjusting the rear tire pressure to increase traction. Although it didn’t perform jumps like their “Hayabusa snowbike,” the bike showed power and fun amidst the snow in Utah.
In addition to the snow test, the video of the experience also featured a “Black Hawk” helicopter, classified as an experimental vehicle, allowing civilians to fly in it. The scene added even more excitement to the adventure, making the snow bike transformation even more memorable.
