Created by French designer Rafik Ferrag, the Xpeng P7 arrives as the brand’s new bet on the luxury car market.
“The original P7 was a milestone for Xpeng and a turning point in the electric vehicle landscape in China,” Ferrag stated. “With this new generation, we set out to design a 100% electric sports sedan that could impress from every angle.”
With its distinctive design language, the P7 is a five-seater sports sedan. While the brand has spoken extensively about the P7’s technical prowess, Xpeng doesn’t seem too interested in providing further details.
He Xiaopeng, CEO of Xpeng, described the car as “a major upgrade for the brand’s next technological leap: one that combines AI-powered luxury, the innovative Xpeng Turing Smart Driving system, and an immersive smart cockpit in a sleek and futuristic format.”
According to Car Magazine, improvements are expected in the brand’s smart cockpit technology — an area in which the current-generation Xpeng G6 already excels — while remaining a relatively affordable luxury vehicle.
