A boa constrictor gave mechanics quite a scare after being found hidden inside a pickup truck that was in the shop for maintenance.
The incident took place in Serra, in the metropolitan region of Vitória, Espírito Santo, southeastern Brazil. The animal was found by the workshop employees after they opened the hood.
After the surprising discovery, the mechanics contacted the Environmental Police and the Department of the Environment of Serra, which sent agents to the location to rescue the snake.
In a video shared on social media, it is possible to see that the boa constrictor had wrapped itself around one of the vehicle’s tires. Fortunately, it was rescued without injuries.
After recovery, the reptile was released in an Environmental Protection Area in Mestre Álvaro. It is worth remembering that despite its size, the boa constrictor is a harmless species to humans.
