A mechanic caught the attention of netizens after showing that a fluid leak problem in a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse is caused by a factory defect.
In a clip posted on the Facebook page Just Rolled In, the mechanic begins by explaining that he received a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse for repair due to a fluid leak between the transmission and the engine.
Upon inspecting the transmission more closely, he was shocked to realize that the bolts on the part were completely loose. “These bolts were left loose from the factory. [The car has] 20,000 km,” he said while tightening the bolts.
In the comments, netizens shared their thoughts on the incident. “I work at a Chevrolet dealership, and my coworker had exactly the same issue about a month ago,” a Facebook user wrote.
“These bolts are tightened with a mechanical tool that is calibrated by engineers and skilled workers to a specific torque rating. The line worker has no control over this,” another netizen emphasized.
