A man was arrested after accidentally crashing a drone loaded with drugs into a house in Florida, United States.

According to authorities, Jason Brooks showed up at a house to inform the homeowners that he had crashed his drone on the property.

The homeowners, however, contacted the police to hand over the drone, which contained several packages of narcotics, including methamphetamine and fentanyl.

In a statement released by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, officials stated that Brooks, 49, was arrested at the scene.

In footage from the officers’ body cameras, the suspect can be heard explaining that his device may have ended up in the backyard of the house.

After that, officers also found Brooks’ vehicle, which was unregistered and did not have the correct license plate.

He is now facing charges of operating an unregistered vehicle, attaching an unassigned plate, driving with a canceled, suspended, or revoked license, as well as two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell or deliver and possession of a controlled substance, according to authorities.
