The Lithuanian Armed Forces have officially received their first two UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters, part of a contract signed in 2020 with the United States.
The agreement covers the acquisition of four aircraft, including equipment, spare parts, and a full training, maintenance, and logistics package.
The total value of the deal was $210 million, with an additional $29 million provided by the US government as military aid. The US Congress also authorized the sale of two more units if Lithuania needs to expand its fleet.
Prior to delivery, the helicopters underwent technical upgrades, the details of which have not been disclosed. According to plans, the first two aircraft fully equipped with additional systems are expected to be operational by 2024.
