Leonardo DRS has placed a $350,000 order for the acquisition of the new AI-based anti-drone system from Israeli company Axon Vision.

In a press release published on the website Defence Blog, Axon stated that the contract covers an initial batch of systems capable of detection, classification, tracking, and end-to-end interception of airborne threats.

Axon Vision noted that the contract is based on a cooperation agreement signed by both companies in late 2025. The systems are expected to undergo operational assessments and live exercises soon by U.S. security forces.

The company said the tests will demonstrate modularity, flexibility, and compatibility with the standard military integration interfaces of the U.S. “We are proud to deepen our collaboration with Leonardo DRS through this new order,” said Roy Riftin, CEO of Axon Vision.

“Axon Vision’s new C-UAS systems represent the next step in providing modular AI-enabled solutions, tailored to evolving operational needs. We look forward to supporting key U.S. stakeholders with advanced capabilities for detecting and responding to airborne threats.”

According to the company, the equipment is designed to handle unmanned aerial systems (UAS) with fixed wings and low-altitude threats that require immediate response, such as small quadcopters or improvised aerial platforms.

The system features AI-powered processing flows to reduce the operator’s workload and support autonomous decision cycles.

Its modular design also allows the system to integrate with various types of sensors and existing anti-drone infrastructure used by U.S. agencies.

“The U.S. market is a key strategic focus for Axon Vision, and we expect 2026 to be a year of deployment and growth,” said Ido Rozenberg, President, CTO, and co-founder of Axon Vision.
