The Lamborghini, known for its limited portfolio, with only three models currently: Revuelto, Temerario, and Urus, is working on launching a new electric car based on the Lanzador concept.
However, before deciding on this model, the company considered creating a sedan, exploring the 2008 Estoque concept, which had a long wheelbase, but it was discarded for aesthetic reasons.
CEO Stephan Winkelmann stated that the idea of creating a sedan was considered but was ultimately rejected in favor of an electric GT. Lamborghini also ruled out launching another SUV, given the presence of the Urus in the market. The final decision was to focus on a more sporty model, based on the Lanzador, an EV with 1,341 horsepower, expected to enter production in 2028.
The Estoque, presented by Lamborghini at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, was the brand’s first sedan and one of the few models with a front engine, with powertrain options ranging from V-10 to hybrid or diesel.
Lamborghini never detailed the concept much, but opted to follow a different direction with the Lanzador, which will be the brand’s first fully electric car.
