The defense industries of the Czech Republic and Turkey have taken a new step in international cooperation with the signing of a strategic agreement between Excalibur International, part of the CSG group, and Aselsan.

The partnership envisions the creation of a joint venture aimed at expanding military solutions for European and global markets, focusing on sensitive areas such as air defense, electronic warfare, smart ammunition, and border security.

One of the first results of this collaboration has already taken shape: the Korkut air defense system has been integrated onto the Tatra Force 6×6 chassis, a traditional wheeled platform manufactured in the region. Beyond the technical adaptation, the agreement also foresees the gradual transfer of production to CSG facilities located in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, strengthening the local industrial base.

The Korkut system stands out by using two 35 mm automatic cannons, capable of a rate of fire of 1,100 rounds per minute and engaging targets up to 4 kilometers away. The system is designed to counter modern aerial threats with speed and precision, taking advantage of its mobility and field responsiveness.

Another differentiator is the use of 35 mm programmable ATOM ammunition, which detonates in the air and releases tungsten fragments in front of the target. With advanced digital fire control algorithms, the Korkut can efficiently neutralize drones and cruise missiles, providing a more cost-effective solution compared to traditional missile-based systems.
