The Kia EV4 2026 arrives as the brand’s first electric sedan, offering a more affordable option for the U.S. market, with an estimated price starting at $35,000.

Equipped with a 201 hp front motor, it will be available with two batteries: one with 58.3 kWh and another with 81.4 kWh, with the latter expected to provide around 530 km of range according to EPA standards.

Built on the E-GMP platform, the EV4 has dimensions similar to those of a Honda Civic, with a modern interior consisting of three screens totaling 30 inches and a spacious 481-liter trunk.

The model features a 400-volt electrical system to reduce costs, allowing AC charging at 11 kW. On fast chargers, the higher-capacity version can go from 10% to 80% in 31 minutes. The EV4 will also be able to power electric devices and potentially return energy to the grid.

Production of the EV4 for the Korean market will begin in March 2025, with units for the U.S. coming from the same factory by the end of the year. Its performance is comparable to the Kia Niro EV, going from 0 to 100 km/h in about 7.7 seconds. While the larger battery range should reach 530 km, the smaller version should be around 360 km by EPA standards.

With a competitive price and good range, the EV4 positions itself as an interesting alternative to models like the Hyundai Ioniq 6 and Tesla Model 3.
