Analysis of Aircraft Damage

The inspection of the wreckage revealed penetrating and non-penetrating damage of various sizes and shapes in multiple areas of the aircraft, including:

  • Rear section of the fuselage
  • Vertical and horizontal stabilizer
  • Elevator and rudder
  • Left engine and left wing

Investigators also identified that some of the damage had a regular rectangular shape, which may indicate impacts from foreign objects prior to the crash.

Failure of Hydraulic Systems

The preliminary analysis suggests that all hydraulic systems and stabilizers failed immediately after the impacts. The report highlights that the loss of hydraulic systems in all three circuits was due to damage to pipes and tanks, likely caused by the foreign elements detected on the aircraft.

Examinations and Continued Investigation

The damaging elements found have been sent for technical examination to determine their origin and cause of impact. The investigation commission continues to analyze the structural damage to the aircraft in further detail.
The final report with definitive conclusions will be published upon the completion of the investigation.
