Jeep has revealed, for the first time, images of the 2025 Recon EV without camouflage on its website, showcasing the off-road electric model with a new version of the brand’s seven-slot grille.

The vehicle, which is still in the pre-production phase, features removable doors but lacks solid front and rear axles or traditional 4×4 drive. Instead, it will be equipped with two electric motors providing all-wheel drive, complemented by all-terrain tires and raised suspension for better off-road performance.

Although the released images do not show the interior, spy photos have indicated a digital dashboard combined with a passenger footrest and buttons serving as door handles. The Recon EV also features a spare tire at the rear and roof rails, as well as red recovery hooks, a change from the blue hooks used on the brand’s electrified models, such as the hybrid Grand Cherokee.

It is not yet clear whether the switch to red is just an aesthetic choice or if it’s related to rumors that Jeep might offer gasoline and hybrid engine versions of the Recon, in addition to the electric version.

The official launch of the Jeep Recon EV is scheduled for the end of 2025, and more details about the model are expected to be released in the coming months.
