Jeep has revealed an update for the Avenger for 2027, introducing a refreshed design and mechanical changes while maintaining its focus on the urban compact SUV segment.
According to the website Motor1, the main change is in Stellantis’ revised 1.2 turbo engine. This is relevant because it means Jeep is abandoning the previously used oil-bathed belt in favor of a timing chain, considered more durable after criticism involving reliability in earlier models.
This setup delivers 100 hp and 205 Nm of torque, with a six-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive. The mild-hybrid option combines the same 1.2 turbo engine with a small electric system and a six-speed dual-clutch automated transmission. In this configuration, combined output reaches 108 hp.

The 4xe version is the most off-road-oriented, adding an electric motor on the rear axle to provide all-wheel drive and a combined output of 143 hp. The model also features raised suspension and a more rugged look to suit outdoor adventures.
Meanwhile, the fully electric variant remains the technological flagship. It uses a 154 hp electric motor powered by a 54 kWh battery, with a range of around 400 km on the WLTP cycle. The SUV supports DC fast charging of up to 100 kW.
On the outside, highlights include LED headlights, a new front camera with 360° vision, and an illuminated grille available on the more expensive versions. Jeep has also launched a special edition celebrating the brand’s 85th anniversary, with gold details, a checkered hood decal, and exclusive interior finishes.

It can be ordered in two new colors: Forest and Bamboo, both available with an optional black roof. In addition, Jeep has also updated the 17- and 18-inch wheels, which feature a new center cap with a stylized profile of the Willys.
The Avenger is currently Jeep’s best-selling model in Europe and has already surpassed 270,000 units sold since its original launch in 2023. Orders for the updated model are already open, with deliveries scheduled for the end of this year.
