The Jaguar C-X75, an iconic supercar that was never produced, is back in a new street-legal conversion made by Callum Designs.
+ Hyundai Intium: new concept SUV that combines retro style and technological innovation
Originally presented as a concept at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, the C-X75 gained notoriety by appearing in the 2015 James Bond film “Spectre.”
After over a thousand hours of work, the new version features a supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 engine and significant improvements, such as a Willow Green body color with active aerodynamics and a hydraulic lift to prevent damage to the undercarriage on rough roads.
This new conversion of the C-X75 aims to get even closer to what the supercar could have been if it had been produced by Jaguar a decade ago. The car retains the essence of the stunt version made by Williams Advanced Engineering, with a more refined design and an interior that includes an aluminum steering wheel, wireless charging for smartphones, and a digital rearview mirror. Additionally, a new software system has been installed to enhance the driving experience.
While the return of the C-X75 represents a fascinating evolution for Jaguar, the brand is now transforming into a fully electric manufacturer, with plans to relaunch in 2025 as a luxury automaker focused solely on electric vehicles. Jaguar’s managing director, Rawdon Glover, highlighted that this transition has been challenging but necessary, especially considering that the production of internal combustion engine cars is coming to an end.
