The Israeli defense company Elbit Systems has signed a $1.635 billion contract to supply an unnamed European country with a wide range of military equipment.
The package includes long-range, precision strike systems, drones for various mission types, reconnaissance equipment, and advanced electronic warfare solutions.
According to the company, the agreement also covers intelligence and surveillance capabilities, electro-optical and night vision systems, as well as the modernization and protection of combat vehicles. Elbit will also provide a complete military digitization and networked combat solution, integrating cutting-edge software and communication equipment linking strategic command to the tactical level.
Delivery is expected over the next five years. In the past, the same European country had acquired UT30 MK2 turrets for ASCOD combat vehicles, in a contract valued at approximately $100 million, also provided by Elbit Systems.
