Elbit Systems has secured contracts worth $150 million to provide the Iron Fist active protection system for CV90 infantry fighting vehicles used by NATO countries in Europe.

The orders were placed by BAE Systems Hägglunds and are part of a strategic partnership aimed at increasing the survivability of the armored vehicles against modern threats on the battlefield.

The system selection followed real ammunition tests carried out in September 2025 in Europe. During the demonstration, the Iron Fist successfully intercepted over a dozen 120mm penetrator projectiles, proving its ability to neutralize advanced anti-tank weapons in front of military authorities and defense industry representatives.

Classified as a hard-kill system, Iron Fist is capable of defeating anti-tank missiles, rockets, drones, loitering munitions, and tank shells, while maintaining low weight and energy consumption.

According to Elbit Systems, the equipment has been gaining traction among Western armies, reinforcing confidence in Israeli technology for the protection of armored forces in Europe and other markets.
