Iran released unprecedented images of an underground facility housing advanced air defense systems, including the Khordad-15, amid claims that the equipment was used against a U.S. F-35 fighter jet.
The material was published by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and shows the fortified structure equipped with launchers and missile stockpiles.
The images also reveal the presence of large quantities of interceptor missile containers, indicating a significant level of operational readiness. Among the equipment displayed is the Khordad-15 system, developed domestically and officially presented in 2019 during the tenure of then Defense Minister Amir Hatami.
According to Iranian authorities, the system uses Sayyad-3 missiles and is capable of tracking multiple targets simultaneously. Its capabilities include detecting up to six threats at once, increasing its effectiveness in complex air combat scenarios.

The Khordad-15 was designed to engage aircraft and drones at distances of up to 150 kilometers and, according to Iran, can detect stealth aircraft at up to 85 kilometers. The IRGC claims that this system was recently used in an operation against an F-35 fighter jet, although there is no independent confirmation of this claim.
