India publicly showcased the Suryastra, its new long-range multiple rocket launch system, during the Army Day parade rehearsals in Jaipur.
The display marked the official debut of the indigenous platform, developed to enhance the Indian Army’s precision strike capability across various operational scenarios.
Based on Israeli PULS system technology, the Suryastra was shown in a configuration capable of firing 370 mm Predator Hawk missiles with a range of up to 300 km, and 306 mm guided rockets with a range of up to 150 km.
The system is designed to function as a universal launcher, capable of firing different calibers and munitions without requiring structural modifications to the platform.
The presentation follows the signing of a contract worth approximately $69 million between the Indian Army and NIBE Limited for the supply of the system, in partnership with Israeli companies.
According to defense officials, the Suryastra is expected to complement systems such as the Pinaka, reinforcing the modernization of India’s rocket artillery and extending the range and precision of long-range strike operations.
